Windows Server 2012 certifications

Windows Server 2012 is available. Now it’s time to get certified for it.

Microsoft has introduced a new MCSA and two new MCSE certifications for Windows Server 2012. Yes, MCSE is back, but with a different acronym – Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert. Also MCSA now stands for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate.

You can find an overview of new certifications here: MCSE: Reinvented for the Cloud.

MCSA: Windows Server 2012 is a prerequisite for the MCSE certifications.

MCSE: Server Infrastructure focuses on designing and managing Windows Server based infrastructures.

MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure is focusing on desktop management using Windows Server 2012 features.

There is also a shortcut, if you already have MCSA: Windows Server 2008 certification, you can take the upgrade exam 70-417.

If you are interested in building and operating a Private Cloud infrastructure, then MCSE: Private Cloud is the certification for you.

Don’t forget about the Second Shot for Microsoft Certifications campaign. You have to obtain a voucher from the Prometric web site before taking the exam. If it happens to fail the exam, you can take it again for free.
