This procedure describes the steps for creating the service accounts required for installing System Center Service Manager 2010:

Prerequisites
- You have configured Active Directory for the TECHREADY.RO domain.
Installation and configuration steps
- Logon on the DC server using the domain Administrator account.
- From the Start menu, Administrative Tools, launch Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Select the container where you want to create the accounts, right click and select New, User.
- In the New Object – User window enter the name in the First Name and User Logon Name and click Next.
- In the New Object – User window enter a password and check User cannot change password and Password never expires options then click Next.
- In the New Object – User window review the information and click Finish.
- In the New Object – User window enter the name in the First Name and User Logon Name and click Next.
- In the New Object – User window enter a password and check User cannot change password and Password never expires options then click Next.
- In the New Object – User window review the information and click Finish.
- In the Active Directory Users and Computers console select the container where you want to create the group, right click and select New, Group.
- Create a new group. In the New Object – Group window enter a name and select Global and Security options then click OK.
- In the Active Directory Users and Computers console access the properties of the new group.
- In the Properties window select the Members tab and then click Add.
- In the Select Users, Contacts or Computers window enter the SMService account and click OK.
- In the Properties window select the Members tab and then click Add.
- In the Select Users, Contacts or Computers window enter the Administrator account and click OK.
- In the Properties window click OK.
- Logon on the SvcMgr server using the domain Administrator account.
- Launch the Server Manager Console, expand Configuration, Local Users and Groups, Groups and access the properties of Administrators local group.
- In the Administrators Properties window click Add.
- In the Select Users Computers or Groups window enter the name of the account to be used by Service Manager services (SMService) and click Check Names then click OK.
- In the Administrators Properties window click OK.
