In the second day I have started my first shift of staffing at the hands-on labs. Then I went to some sessions:
The first one was MGT304 – System Center Service Manager – A deep dive. Travis Wright and Sean Christensen were talking about the Incident and Problem Management, Change Management, Risk and Compliance. Then they invited Gordon Watts from Provance on stage to present their IT Asset Management solution built on top of the Service Manager CMDB.
Next I went to MGT206 – SCVMM 2012 Service Lifecycle for the Private Cloud. Here I have seen how one can create a cloud from a few clicks. Please see the previous post for details.
Later I went to the exhibition area at the System Center Configuration booth. Kent Agerlund (MVP) was there and was joined later by Torsten Meringer and Ronni Pedersen.
Myself I was interested in trying the latest build of Configuration Manager 2012 they had at the stand. Some new features include application dependencies and self-service portal. More on that in a future post.
