System Center 2012 App Controller (Concero), Service Manager and Orchestrator

Yesterday was full of announcements. Besides System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Release Candidate, three more products from the System Center 2012 are now available in beta:

  • System Center 2012 App Controller (formerly known as Concero) is a portal that enables self-service application management across Private and Public Clouds.
  • System Center 2012 Service Manager is the new version of the integrated service desk from Microsoft and can be used to implement processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Chaneg Management, Release Management (new) and Risk and Compliance Management. Beside the connectors to Active Directory, Configuration Manager and Operations Manager, it now offers two new connectors for System Center Orchestrator 2012 and System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012.
  • System Center 2012 Orchestrator (formerly known as Opalis)  provides platform integration with a large variety of management products and automation of processes, enabling you to define end-to-end processes to manage your IT infrastructure.

Please see the announcement on the Microsoft Server and Cloud Platform Blog. All products are now available in Beta (RC for Orchestrator).

Using these three products and System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager you can implement and automate Private Cloud solutions based on Microsoft Hyper-V.

If you would like to find out more about the Microsoft Private Cloud solution, you can join the Private Cloud Community Evaluation Program. You will be able to attend a series of presentations and obtain guidance in evaluating the products and implementing Private Cloud solutions.

Happy testing!
