Obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation Certification

This week I took a break from my project to attend a PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner course organized by Trilex. In the third day of the course participants were asked to take the Foundation exam in order to continue to the Practitioner section.

I am happy to report that I have obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management.

The PRINCE2 Foundation certification is offered by Axelos via PeopleCert. The exam is closed book, is delivered online and can be taken from home. The Foundation certification is also a prerequisite for the Practitioner certification.

Although attending a training is not a preprequisite for taking this exam, it is highly recommended, especially if preparing also for the Practitioner exam. I was lucky to attend the combined PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner course delivered by Hilde Corbu at Trilex. You should definitely check the Syllabus and Sample Papers published by Axelos before attempting the exam. The exam consists in 60 questions in 60 minutes so it is definitely a speed exam, you either know the topic or you don’t, there is not much time to think.
