The tour started in Göteborg, the second city in size in Sweden, after Stockholm. The event took place at a great location in Lindholmen Science Park.
Patrik Jordan started the day with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012. He did a great demo with Tiered Storage Spaces with 6 external USB disks (2 SSD and 4 HDD). He also explained the new Hyper-V features, making it easier for me to talk about SCVMM.
In the afternoon I had my Configuration Manager 2012 R2 session where I discussed the configuration of Network Device Enrollment Service and Certificate Registration Point. I have demoed the Certificate Profiles, VPN Profiles and Wi-Fi Profiles, and I have also shown the Windows Intune integration with Configuration Manager.
The SCVMM 2012 R2 session was quite long, I have started with Hyper-V host configuration, networking virtualization and storage management with the iSCSI SMI-S provider. Then I have explained the VM templates, guest OS profiles, SQL server profiles, application profiles, and service templates. In the end I have demoed how the end-users can get self-service access using the App Controller and Windows Azure Pack.
